How to get trained

1. Request a 1:1 or gorup training through slack (#gidhub) or in person from someone who is trained!

2. Attend the training (most take ~1hr), this will involve completing a simple guided project (eg, 3D print an example file, laser engrace a picture onto acrylic, CNC your name...) 

3. Update the training leaderboards after slacking the lab manager a picture of the completed training project and getting approval

4. Practice! After the training, set aside a couple of hours that week to practice using the equipment 

Once you have experimented and completed a personal project, you are able to train others on that piece of equipment! Continue to experiment and push yourself to become an expert at this resource.

A Note on the Limitations of Training

To truly learn how to use a resource, one single guided session is not nearly enough. It will take dedicated time and practice on your end. There is a wealth of knowledge and guidance in SyBBURE, but you can only access it by taking the initiative and asking for help. Don't be intimidated and get mentored!
